Jessica and her sister, f(x)’s Krystal, were recently featured on MBC’s “Weekly Idol” and were nicknamed as “polar opposite sisters”. The video states that it is hard to tell who the older sibling is; everything that Jessica does is cute while Krystal’s actions are chic. As examples, several clips are displayed throughout the video in a joking manner to compare the two sisters.

Girls’ Generation’s latest Japanese single, “Oh!”, earned first place on Oricon’s “10/8 Single Weekly Ranking” chart, selling 66,000 copies since its release on September 26th. In addition, the DVD and Blu-Ray for “Girls’ Generation Complete Video Collection” reached number one on the “Oricon Weekly DVD” and “Oricon Weekly Blu-Ray” charts, with 40,000 DVDs and 19,000 Blu-Ray discs sold.

This is the first time Girls’ Generation earned first place rankings on the single and Blu-Ray charts since their Japanese debut in September 2010. They are the first female artist or group to reach number one on all three charts — Oricon’s Weekly Single, DVD, and Blu-Ray Rankings — in the same week. The only other group to accomplish this same feat was Mr. Children, a Japanese pop rock band formed in 1988. Girls’ Generation was able to achieve this feat even though they are a foreign music group in the Japanese market, making this an even greater accomplishment.

Girls’ Generation will release their sixth Japanese single, titled “FLOWER POWER”, on November 14th. Following the successful releases of “PAPARAZZI” and the Japanese version of “Oh!” in Japan this past year, fans can now look forward to another single in just over a month. Along with the news of its release, “FLOWER POWER” was also revealed to have lyrics that will demonstrate the “sexy” side of Girls’ Generation, contrary to the single’s title. The lyrics describe the strategic moves between a man and a woman on the dance floor and are sung with the sound and light of a glitzy atmosphere. The song will be a dance number with a flowing baseline in 4/4 time with a sexy chorus line. The promotional picture for “FLOWER POWER”, shown above, has the girls trying to escape searchlights.

Along with the news of the release of “FLOWER POWER” on November 14th, it was revealed that Girls’ Generation’s second Japanese album will be available two weeks later on November 28th. The title of this second Japanese album is yet to be announced.

Girls’ Generation’s sixth single will also feature a track titled “Beep Beep”, as well as a “digest medley” of songs from Girls’ Generation’s second Japanese album. The second Japanese album will not contain “Beep Beep”, and the track will only be available on the “FLOWER POWER” single.

Both the single and the album are currently available for online pre-order through Amazon and Vanda. “FLOWER POWER” can be purchased on November 14th for 1,575 yen.

The album, available in three editions, can be purchased on November 28th, though Amazon and Vanda are currently accepting online pre-orders. The regular edition will cost 3,059 yen on both Amazon and Vanda. The first press edition (CD + DVD) will cost 3,392 yen on Amazon or 3,990 yen on Vanda. The deluxe first press edition (CD + DVD) will cost 5,941 yen on Amazon or 6,990 yen on Vanda.

Jessica made her musical debut through the 2009 premiere of “Legally Blonde”. Her stable singing, similarity to her character, and ability to show off her acting skills are all reasons she will be returning as Elle Woods.

After showing her success as a musical actress through “Legally Blonde”, Jessica will once again star in the same musical. She is planning on showing a much more lovable and cute Elle Woods than in 2009.

The pink-filled, romantic, and comedic musical, “Legally Blonde”, will run from November 16th to March 17th. Jessica will be returning as the main female character, Elle Woods, sharing her role with Choi Woori and A Pink’s Jung Eunji. The musical will be held at the COEX Atrium Hyundai Art Hall in Samsung-dong. Ticket sales will open on October 9th at 2 PM KST.
