[Magazine] NYLON Magazine Features Jessica and Krystal for a Photoshoot and Interview

You must feel disappointed that the broadcast of the reality program, Cover Girl, was postponed.

Jessica: I think its an inevitable situation. Still, Im looking forward to when the first broadcast will be held.
Krystal: Because it has daily happenings with my sister, it didnt feel like work. So time flew by while filming. I think we can wait for the first broadcast with the same, current feeling? Im just hoping broadcasts will resume soon.

Its not easy seeing you in variety shows or reality programs. How did you come to choosing Cover Girl?

Jessica: I didnt have any plans to intentionally pick a reality program. Just, I think people feel a sense of distance from us. I thought we should try to shorten that distance through Cover Girl.
Krystal: It was fun because the concept was sisters showing their daily life and comfortable appearances. There wasnt any reason to try hard preparing decorated or exaggerated things.

Still, youre girls. Wasnt it burdensome having to show every little part of your day?

Jessica: To be honest, its harder trying to look good to viewers.
Krystal: That really doesnt go well with our personalities either. Haha. People tend to think were arrogant, but we actually enjoy eating street food and dont really like dressing ourselves up. We wanted to show these sides of us naturally through a show.

[Interview] Yoona Appears in CeCi Magazines March Issue

haruki_
moments

CeCi: Meeting you in real life, I was surprised that you had a low-pitched voice.
Yoona: Right? Whether Im doing a photoshoot, singing, or performing on stage, there are a lot of times where Im in charge of lovable, cute parts, so people see me as being really girly. I actually like the feel of androgynous concepts more. So theres a difference between my image and actual self. The easy-going personality of the character Nam Dajung when she was a reporter in Prime Minister & I is close to my normal personality. I acted really comfortably, but there were a lot of viewers who said it was refreshing. I also felt some disappointment, wishing that episode was a bit longer.

CeCi: Are you more used to the burden that comes from leading the drama as the main role now?
Yoona: Its not a situation of being able to lead anyone yet. I was able to meet nice and considerate opposing roles played by Kwon Sangwoo oppa, Jang Geunsuk oppa, and Lee Bumsoo sunbae, so I received a lot of help on and off camera. I leaned on the seniors work experiences and am stacking up the things Ive learned, one by one. I agreed with this works directors words: Theres a small but definite difference between someone who has and hasnt acted as the lead. The lead slowly gains the skill of seeing the general flow of the drama. I always feel that concentration is the most important thing. Im not really sure what I have to do to convey subtle differences in emotions Im expressing to viewers yet. (laughs) I probably have to study and practice a lot.

CeCi: Nam Dajungs love in Prime Minister & I was a bit stifling, to be frank. Do you agree?
Yoona: Nam Dajung was a mature character that was considerate and and made sacrifices for love. But I still have more child-like tendencies.

CeCi: Is being mature good?
Yoona: Im not sure. Being mature means you know a lot more things. Right now, I like being twenty-five or twenty-six years old more than twenty. Of course, I could be thinking that because Im still young. But something Im certain of is that its prettiest and best when you do things at the proper age. Im able to make a bigger change now because I was able to show a lot of an image, like an innocent appearance, at a suitable age. Nowadays, Ive been liking mannish styles during photoshoots. Though, Im not sure if Ive been drawn to a mannish image because I only showed a lovely image in my prime, or because Ive always liked them.

[Interview] Harpers Bazaar Magazine Interviews Tiffany and SISTARs Bora

haruki_
moments

Tiffanys energetic voice filled the studio. Im currently watching a scene of Girls Generations Tiffany and SISTARs Boras friendship. With bright and healthy appearances, they took selcas making funny facial expressions on purpose and gave each other tips regarding what kind of clothes suit one another without hesitation. While continuing their petty, everyday occurrences that reminded me of the chats I have with friends, Tiffany, who has particularly white skin, would laugh loudly, saying, Were like cookies and cream, being together with tan-skinned Bora, and Bora would simply agreed. This was like the natural sense of closeness between two children, different from friendship, packed with charming actions of excessive compliments thats commonly seen on television. Its not easy for a member of one of the top idol groups, amidst the overflowing amount of girl groups, to do a magazine photoshoot with another groups member. It seems the management companies consenting to this was only possible because they are Tiffany and Bora.

Like an empty friendship, its not easy for people who simply know each other through work to appear so smooth. Becoming friends with someone met through everyday life requires absolute timing or careful efforts. The twos history is short but strong, and more than anything, its natural. It was to the point where Hyoyeon and Sunny noticed Bora was Tiffanys match upon first glance while filming the variety show Invincible Youth 2′ and introduced them to each other. Tiffany replied to the question of how they were able to create a friendship, rather than having a sense of rivalry, through sharing their experience in girl groups.

Tiffany: I think its because she came and met me now. Im in my 7th year, and Boras in her 3rd. If it was me four years ago, I dont think we could have gotten this close. Early during my debut days, I wouldnt greet rival groups well and was cold. Now though, that friend and I laugh and say, We were like that back then! (laughs) Normally, when girls record something together, theres a peculiar war of nerves, wanting to look prettier. But, you saw us earlier, right?

[Interview] CeCi Magazine Features Taeyeon for a Photoshoot and Interview

haruki_
moments

When asked to choose who I wanted to meet from Girls Generation, my choice was always Taeyeon. Because her subtle, yet powerful voice was the strong first impression from a group called Girls Generation. 2014 makes 8 years for Girls Generation. They opened up a new chapter in the Korean music industry, and, rather than remaining in the generation they created, they wanted challenges. While none are teens anymore, theyre still relentless. They have been pulling in everything possible as Girls Generations territory and have been building up a large, solid fortress. When there is word about a comeback, it is said their next steps will decide Girls Generations future. However, no matter what the appearance of their comeback, nothing would be weird. Among lively members who are overflowing with personality, Taeyeon always quietly stayed a step back. Doing what she likes by singing & sharing loving looks with her fans: it feels like that is how she spends her time. White skin almost transparent, baby-like smiling eyes, but she is a bit secretive. What might be in her heart? On the first day of raging sleet this winter, I met Taeyeon. She hesitated quite a bit, trying and trying not to show her feelings. However, I didnt want to rush her. Because there had to be something valuable about her that didnt need to be shown easily. 26 year-old Taeyeon is currently going through her most beautiful time right now.

CeCi: Compared to other members, you dont have many individual activities. I hope this CeCi cover photoshoot is considered as a coveted item by fans.
Taeyeon: This is my first time as a solo cover model, so its really interesting. Each Girls Generation member has done their own versions of cover shoots, and we really didnt know anything at the time. Since there have been many cases where members were cover models for separate magazines, I can tell how great this is.

CeCi: You havent done as many photoshoots as I thought.
Taeyeon: To be honest, there has been a time when getting my photo taken felt rather difficult. There have been a lot of times where Ive declined photoshoot schedules because, for some reason, I didnt have any self-confidence. However, I thought about when I would again be able to leave [a trace] of myself in my 20′s, if not now. I also thought about when else I would be able to show myself to mediums and fans when they want. In the past, I only wanted to sing songs I like the most. However, now, if its something that others can all take in and willingly enjoy, then I think its something I can do and feel that it is my job.

[Magazine] Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun Take Part in Letters of Angels

haruki_
moments

Girls Generations very own Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun took part in the annual Letters of Angels campaign, which brings attention to and supports domestic adoptions. This years photoshoot can be found in the December issue of Elle magazine, which also includes a separate pictorial with Sooyoung. Tiffany was featured in Letters of Angels back in 2011, and after working with her, project photographer Cho Seihon said, Tiffany doesnt just have a pretty face, but shes a star with a pretty heart as well. After that, I look at Tiffany from a different light. The translated messages the three ladies left for the 2013 campaign as well as commentary can be read below.

Taeyeon: Soft, pretty, and cute Eun-yi~ It was fun meeting you today. Continue to grow healthy. Grow up to be even more prettier than Girls Generation unnies. I love you

Tiffany: Dear Eun-yi. Grow up to be pretty, healthy, and brightly, and meet your unnies again. Always pray

Seohyun: We spent a short, but happy time with our lovable Eun-yi~ I wont forget this precious relationship~ Grow up to be pretty and healthy, and more admirably than your unnies~! I love you

Young angels waiting to be adopted, after being separated from adolescent single parents who were not able to stand on their own, met with 10 of this generations hottest idol teams. The reason why photographer Cho Seihon called for these angels to stand in front of the camera was to open peoples eyes to the value of life and show that there are things that need our warm attention. Cho Seihons eleventh Letters of Angels story, headed with an innocent theme similar to that of idols eyes, will be exhibited early through Elle.

[Magazine] Elle Magazine Features Sooyoung for Photoshoot

haruki_
moments

Sooyoung was featured in the upcoming December issue of Elle magazine in a photoshoot with her three dogs. To go along with a stunning photoshoot, Sooyoung wrote her own thoughts about her relationship with her pets and how helping those in need has given her happiness. Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyuns feautre in the Letters of Angels campaign is part of next months Elle magazine as well.

Girls Generations Sooyoung and Comptoir des Contonniers (editors note: the fashion brand Sooyoung is wearing in the photoshoot) will become supporters, and prepared contributions will be used with care to help women and children who have been faced with hardships.

My love trio. The three dogs, Suri, Mori, and Cherry. The eldest, Suri, is coy, and you have to chase her around trying to feed her. But she is a cutie who only knows her owner. The second eldest, Mori, likes toys so much that all the ones brought in become Moris. The youngest, Cherry, was left at an animal hospital and was about to be sent to a shelter. My mom brought her home and she became a member of our family. The happiness given by dogs. Their existence alone is a great happiness. Im happiest spending time with Suri, Mori, and Cherry on the sofa at home. So when I dont have schedules, I almost never go out. If I go overseas for a few days, they look out of breath, greeting me aggressively. A different happiness, sharing. Through my father, who is active as the chairman for the Korea Retinitis Pigmentosa Society, I naturally learned that charity and contributions are necessary. Its a common saying that you will become happy by sharing, but you cant really know the meaning behind it until you experience it yourself. I cant express in words the happiness felt from seeing people being happy over the littlest help, or the letters I read from kids I sponsor. People I want to tell, I love you. To the SONE volunteers and fans who are doing lots of kind deeds in place of Girls Generation! They donate to many places and periodically do volunteer work under Girls Generations name. I had the opportunity to meet some of those people, and I could see their warm hearts. I love you all!
