
Girls’ Generation was the first idol group ever asked to endorse Lotte Department Store and was hired in order to attract customers in their teens and twenties with the group’s “bouncy” image, trend-leading fashion sense, and wide range of fans. In a survey held by Lotte Department Store in November, over 50% of participants answered that the store’s image “feels more bright and cheerful than before”. 70% of those surveyed also knew that Girls’ Generation modeled for Lotte Department Store.
A source from Lotte Department Store stated, “Girls’ Generation helped a lot in creating a young image for the department store. We considered other models too, but ultimately decided on renewing our contract with Girls’ Generation.”
